The lead PMO consultancy contracted Social Business Technologies Consulting to

review and document the business processes alongside delivering a solution that

addressed the business need of making the core processes more efficient.


The goal being to further transform the contingent labour engagement programme.

A key outcome from the “Process Efficiency” workstream was the streamlining of core


Identifying, mapping and documenting the processes to enable the identification of

potential efficiencies and improvements including the variances across the piece.



Improving process efficiency and Reducing organisational risk.

Countries where the programme operates had organically developed disparate

processes for engaging labour.

The inherent business risk was ensuring all employees (permanent or contingent)

were compliant with regard to employment policies, regulations and working


Achieving this involved identifying steps in the end to end process where efficient

ways of working could be introduced from requisitioning and onboarding through

to renewal/offboarding of contingent labour.



Transforming contingent labour engagement.

Outcomes from the process discovery and development work included:

  • Discovering the current state (As-Is) processes that currently exist.

  • Working with directors, managers, senior staff and partner organisations to develop prioritized core processes, producing a standardized end-to-end process.

  • The proposal of short and medium-term recommendations for optimizing the end to end processes.

  • Validated with partners that the standardized processes for contingent labour engagement could operate across their operating markets.

  • The streamlined future state (To-Be) onboarding process was scheduled for a pilot with a view to full rollout across their operating markets.

  • BPM activities commended as a great initiative and milestone for the company the by Programme Manager.
